    July 15, 2026July 14, 2026 Bible Studies, Journal

Have you ever noticed that God is not called by just one name in the Bible? Sometimes you’ll read God, other times LORD (in all capital letters), Lord, Father, or names like Elohim and Adonai. Is the Bible talking about different gods? Not at all. Just as one…

What Does It Mean to Walk With God?

    June 29, 2026June 29, 2026 Bible Studies, Journal

If someone asked you what it means to “walk with God,” what would you say? The phrase appears several times throughout Scripture, but it doesn’t describe taking literal steps beside God. Instead, it paints a beautiful picture of living in close relationship with Him each day. To walk…

Why Did Jesus Teach Through Stories?

    June 10, 2026June 9, 2026 Journal

“Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable.” Matthew 13:34 One of the most interesting things about Jesus’ ministry is the way He taught people. He could have taught only through long theological explanations or…

What Our Summer Mornings Actually Look Like

    June 2, 2026June 1, 2026 Journal

I think summer mornings can easily become romanticized online.  Every kitchen seems perfectly clean, homemade breakfasts are displayed in a beautiful array, schedules are perfect, and children are happily doing crafts while the house stays spotless and peaceful all day long.  Honestly, real life is vastly different than…

There is a lot of pressure online to create the “perfect” Christian home. Perfect routines,  family devotionals, homemaking systems, schedules, but honestly, most real homes do not look like that all the time. Real homes are often loud, busy, messy, interrupted, and filled with everyday responsibilities that leave little…

Did you know David wasn’t the only person who wrote the Book of Psalms?

From Moses to Solomon, Asaph to the Sons of Korah, God used many different people to write songs and prayers that still encourage believers today. The Psalms remind us that no matter what we’re feeling, we can bring it honestly before the Lord.

The Bible didn’t just appear overnight. It was written over centuries, carefully copied by hand, faithfully preserved, and translated so people around the world could read God’s Word in their own language.

Understanding the Bible’s journey doesn’t weaken our faith. It reminds us of God’s faithfulness in preserving His Word through generation after generation.

Busy seasons don’t have to steal your peace. God isn’t waiting for your schedule to clear before He meets with you. Even in the middle of school drop-offs, work, practices, appointments, and everyday responsibilities, His peace is available.
Take a few minutes today to gather your family, read God’s Word, and remember that peace isn’t found in an empty calendar, it’s found in Christ.

God’s many names do not mean there are many gods. They reveal the many beautiful ways He has made Himself known to us. The more we understand His names, the more we understand His character. Which name of God encourages you the most today?

Big moments often get our attention, but God also cares about the little moments no one else sees.

Being patient with your children, choosing kindness when you’re tired, praying before a meal, telling the truth, showing forgiveness, reading a few verses together as a family, these small acts of faith are never wasted.

Jesus taught that those who are faithful in little things can be trusted with much. Our everyday choices are where faith grows. They may seem ordinary, but they are shaping our hearts and pointing our families toward Christ.

Don’t underestimate what God can do through your simple, faithful obedience today. The little things matter because they honor a faithful God.

What is one small way you can be faithful today?

We often measure our relationship with God by our We often measure our relationship with God by our performance.

How many chapters did I read today?
Did I finish my devotional?
Did I pray long enough?

Those are good things, but they were never meant to be the foundation of our confidence before God.

If we believe our standing with Christ depends on our spiritual performance instead of the finished work of Jesus, we’ll constantly feel like God is disappointed with us. We’ll live like the prodigal son before he came home, convinced we have to earn our way back instead of receiving the Father’s grace.

On the other hand, if we’re only half-hearted in our faith, we’ll know just enough truth to feel guilty, but not enough of the gospel to experience freedom.

The answer isn’t to try harder.
The answer is to look again at Christ.

Because the gospel isn’t, “Do more so God will love you.” The gospel is, “Jesus has done what you never could, and because of Him, you are invited to come home.”

Don’t let guilt keep you from the One who already opened the door.

“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1

Sometimes the best place to hear from God is in the quiet.

When we slow down long enough to notice the birds, the trees, the breeze, and the beauty around us, we’re reminded that creation has always pointed to its Creator. It doesn’t replace God’s Word, it simply reflects His glory.

Today’s blog is a gentle reminder to pause, be still, and let the wonder of God’s creation draw your heart closer to Him.
