    May 27, 2026May 26, 2026 Journal

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my…

How We’re Entering Summer Slowly This Year

    May 26, 2026May 25, 2026 Journal

Every summer used to feel like pressure to me. Pressure to make every moment magical, stay constantly busy, plan activities, keep the house together, and somehow make summer feel memorable all at the same time. Even good things can begin to feel exhausting when every day becomes packed…

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13 Memorial Day often marks the beginning of summer. Long weekends, family gatherings, cookouts, and time outside fill the day for many families. But underneath all of those traditions is something much…

To the teen who feels embarrassed to have a relationship with Jesus

    May 24, 2026May 23, 2026 Growing in Faith, Journal

The other day, I was riding in the car with my husband, flipping through radio stations without really paying much attention. We landed on a station that used to be one of my favorites growing up. For most of my teenage years, it played rock music constantly, the…

HONEY MOMENT: “God Sees Your Faithfulness”

    May 23, 2026May 23, 2026 Honey Moments, Journal

Sometimes faithfulness seems ordinary. It looks like showing up when you are tired, praying when you do not have the words, and continuing to trust God even when life feels quiet. We often think faithfulness has to be big and noticeable for it to matter, but so much…

Helping Kids Grow Closer to God in Everyday Life

    May 20, 2026May 19, 2026 Journal, Resources for Parents

One of the biggest misconceptions about raising kids in faith is thinking every moment has to feel deep, planned, or picture-perfect. It doesn’t. Most children grow spiritually through small, repeated moments they experience over and over again. A prayer before bed. A Bible story at the kitchen table….

What Faith Looks Like in Our Home

    May 19, 2026May 18, 2026 Journal, Resources for Parents

Building a faith-filled home does not usually happen in big, dramatic moments. Most of the time, it happens quietly. It happens during slow mornings around the kitchen table. It happens in small prayers before difficult days. It happens while talking about God during everyday conversations or reading a…

What’s In My Church Bag & Personal Bible Study Setup

    May 14, 2026May 14, 2026 Journal

One thing I’ve learned is that ministry and Bible study rarely look perfectly organized all the time. Some days it looks peaceful and beautifully planned out. Other days it looks like sticky notes everywhere, half-finished coffee, snacks stuffed into side pockets, and carrying way too many pens around…

Did you know David wasn’t the only person who wrote the Book of Psalms?

From Moses to Solomon, Asaph to the Sons of Korah, God used many different people to write songs and prayers that still encourage believers today. The Psalms remind us that no matter what we’re feeling, we can bring it honestly before the Lord.

The Bible didn’t just appear overnight. It was written over centuries, carefully copied by hand, faithfully preserved, and translated so people around the world could read God’s Word in their own language.

Understanding the Bible’s journey doesn’t weaken our faith. It reminds us of God’s faithfulness in preserving His Word through generation after generation.

Busy seasons don’t have to steal your peace. God isn’t waiting for your schedule to clear before He meets with you. Even in the middle of school drop-offs, work, practices, appointments, and everyday responsibilities, His peace is available.
Take a few minutes today to gather your family, read God’s Word, and remember that peace isn’t found in an empty calendar, it’s found in Christ.

God’s many names do not mean there are many gods. They reveal the many beautiful ways He has made Himself known to us. The more we understand His names, the more we understand His character. Which name of God encourages you the most today?

Big moments often get our attention, but God also cares about the little moments no one else sees.

Being patient with your children, choosing kindness when you’re tired, praying before a meal, telling the truth, showing forgiveness, reading a few verses together as a family, these small acts of faith are never wasted.

Jesus taught that those who are faithful in little things can be trusted with much. Our everyday choices are where faith grows. They may seem ordinary, but they are shaping our hearts and pointing our families toward Christ.

Don’t underestimate what God can do through your simple, faithful obedience today. The little things matter because they honor a faithful God.

What is one small way you can be faithful today?

We often measure our relationship with God by our We often measure our relationship with God by our performance.

How many chapters did I read today?
Did I finish my devotional?
Did I pray long enough?

Those are good things, but they were never meant to be the foundation of our confidence before God.

If we believe our standing with Christ depends on our spiritual performance instead of the finished work of Jesus, we’ll constantly feel like God is disappointed with us. We’ll live like the prodigal son before he came home, convinced we have to earn our way back instead of receiving the Father’s grace.

On the other hand, if we’re only half-hearted in our faith, we’ll know just enough truth to feel guilty, but not enough of the gospel to experience freedom.

The answer isn’t to try harder.
The answer is to look again at Christ.

Because the gospel isn’t, “Do more so God will love you.” The gospel is, “Jesus has done what you never could, and because of Him, you are invited to come home.”

Don’t let guilt keep you from the One who already opened the door.

“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1

Sometimes the best place to hear from God is in the quiet.

When we slow down long enough to notice the birds, the trees, the breeze, and the beauty around us, we’re reminded that creation has always pointed to its Creator. It doesn’t replace God’s Word, it simply reflects His glory.

Today’s blog is a gentle reminder to pause, be still, and let the wonder of God’s creation draw your heart closer to Him.
