God is my Loving Father (Little Honey)
Last week, we learned an important truth:
God made us on purpose.
This week, we are building on that truth and learning something even deeper:
God is our Father.
God didn’t just create us and leave us on our own.
He loves us.
He cares for us.
He invites us into a relationship with Him.
All week long, we will learn what it means to belong to God as His children.
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.”
1 John 3:1
This verse reminds us that being called God’s child is a gift of love.
God chooses us.
God welcomes us.
God calls us His own.
Today’s Truth:
God loves me like a Father.
God loves His children.
God knows your name.
God sees you when you are happy and when you are sad.
Just like a loving parent, God wants to:
• Care for you
• Help you
• Keep you safe
God’s love is always with you.
You don’t have to do anything to earn God’s love.
God loves you because you are His child.
Prayer:
Dear God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for being my Father. Help me remember that I belong to You. Amen.
Simple Activity: Give yourself a big hug and say together: “I am God’s child.”
Optional Supplies or Resources: Bible, Journal
Looking Ahead:
Tomorrow, we will learn how our Heavenly Father cares for us deeply and invites us to bring everything in our hearts to Him.
