Week 3 | Day 4 – Prayer Includes Gratitude (Growing Honey)
So far this week, we’ve learned:
• Prayer is talking to God
• God listens when we pray
• We can pray anytime
Today, we’re learning an important part of prayer:
Prayer includes gratitude.
Gratitude means saying thank you.
When we thank God, we remember His goodness and care in our lives.
God loves when His children notice and thank Him for what He has done.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; his love endures forever.” Psalm 107:1
This verse reminds us that God is good, and thanking Him helps us remember His goodness.
Today’s Truth
Thanking God helps us notice His goodness.
Sometimes we forget to stop and notice what God is doing in our lives.
Gratitude helps us slow down and remember God’s blessings.
When we thank God, our prayers become joyful and hopeful.
Prayer
Dear God, Thank You for Your goodness. Help me notice Your blessings and thank You often. Amen.
Activity:
Write or draw three things you are thankful for today.
Optional Supplies or Resources: Bible, Journal
Looking Ahead
Tomorrow, we will learn that prayer also includes asking God for help, because He cares about what we need.
