Week 3 | Day 4 – Prayer Includes Gratitude (Little Honey)
So far this week, we’ve learned:
• Prayer is talking to God
• God listens when we pray
• We can pray anytime
Today, we’re learning an important part of prayer:
Prayer includes gratitude.
Gratitude means saying thank you.
When we thank God, we remember His goodness and care in our lives.
God loves when His children notice and thank Him for what He has done.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; his love endures forever.” Psalm 107:1
This verse reminds us that God is good, and thanking Him helps us remember His goodness.
Today’s Truth
I can thank God.
God gives us good gifts.
God gives us people who love us.
God gives us help and care every day.
When we say thank you to God, it makes our hearts happy.
Prayer:
Dear God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for taking care of me. Thank You for all the good things You give me. Amen.
Activity:
Say out loud three things you are thankful for today.
Optional Supplies or Resources: Bible, Journal
Looking Ahead
Tomorrow, we will learn that prayer also includes asking God for help, because He cares about what we need.
