Week 3 | Day 2 – God Listens When I Pray (Rooted Honey)
Yesterday, we learned that prayer is talking to God and that God invites His children to come to Him.
Today, we’re learning something comforting and important:
God listens when we pray.
Prayer is not one-sided.
When we pray, God hears us.
He is attentive, caring, and close.
God does not ignore His children.
He listens because He loves us.
“Know that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant for himself; the Lord hears when I call to him.” Psalm 4:3
This verse reminds us that when we talk to God, our words matter. God hears every prayer we bring to Him.
Today’s Truth
Being heard builds trust.
Knowing that God listens when we pray helps us trust Him more deeply.
Prayer is not about convincing God to care, it is responding to the truth that He already does.
God hears our prayers even when we struggle to find the right words.
He listens to our hearts as well as our voices.
Prayer:
Dear God, Thank You for hearing me when I pray. Help me trust You even when I don’t see immediate answers. Amen.
Reflection Prompt:
Have you ever felt unheard?
How does knowing that God always listens change how you approach prayer?
Optional Supplies or Resources: Bible, Journal
Looking Ahead
Tomorrow, we will learn that we can pray anytime and anywhere, because God is always near.
