Week 3 | Day 2 – God Listens When I Pray (Growing Honey)

Yesterday, we learned that prayer is talking to God and that God invites His children to come to Him.

Today, we’re learning something comforting and important:

God listens when we pray.

Prayer is not one-sided.

When we pray, God hears us.

He is attentive, caring, and close. 

God does not ignore His children.

He listens because He loves us.

“Know that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant for himself; the Lord hears when I call to him.” Psalm 4:3

This verse reminds us that when we talk to God, our words matter. God hears every prayer we bring to Him.

Today’s Truth

God pays attention to our prayers.

God listens when we pray because He cares about what is happening in our lives.

Prayer is a way to share our thoughts, feelings, and needs with Him.

Sometimes God answers quickly.

Sometimes God answers slowly.

But God always listens.

Prayer:

Dear God, Thank You for listening when I pray.  Help me trust that You hear me and care for me.  Amen.

Activity:

Write one prayer you would like to say to God today.
