\Reflecting on God as My Father (Rooted Honey)

Welcome to Day Six.

All week long, we have been learning what it means to have God as our Father.

We’ve learned that God:

• Loves us

• Cares for us

• Provides for us

• Guides us

• Protects us

Today is a day to slow down.

Instead of learning something new, today we are taking time to reflect, to think about what we’ve learned and how it has shaped our hearts this week.

Reflection helps us remember God’s truth and allows it to grow deeper inside us.

“He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.””  Psalm 46:10

This verse reminds us that sometimes the best way to learn is to be still, quiet our hearts, and remember who God is.

Today’s Truth:

Faith grows when we pause and reflect.

Reflection allows us to recognize God’s work in our lives.

When we stop and think about what we’ve learned, we begin to see patterns of God’s faithfulness.

This week revealed many aspects of God’s fatherly care. Today is an invitation to notice how those truths connect to your own life.

Reflect:

Which truth about God as Father stood out to you most this week?

Why do you think that truth matters right now in your life?

Prayer:

Dear God, Thank You for walking with me this week.  Help me remember who You are and trust You more deeply.  Amen.

Recommended Supplies or Resources: Bible, Journal

Looking Ahead:

Tomorrow, we will wrap up the week by celebrating who we are:  God’s children, loved, cared for, and held by our Heavenly Father.
