God’s Word Is Sweet (Growing Honey)

Yesterday, we learned a foundational truth: God made us on purpose.  Today, we’re learning something just as important, God’s Word is good for us, and it is sweet, like honey. God didn’t just make us and walk away. He gave us His Word to guide us, teach us, and remind us how much He loves us.

“How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” Psalm 119:103

God’s Word is compared to honey because it is good, nourishing, and joyful.

Today’s Truth:

God’s Word helps me grow. 

The Bible compares God’s Word to honey because honey is good for us.

In the same way, God’s Word is good for our hearts and our lives.

The Bible teaches us:

• What is true

• What is right

• How to love others

• How to trust God

God gave us His Word because He cares about us.

Think About It:

• Why do you think God wants us to read the Bible?

• How can God’s Word help you today?

Prayer:

Dear God, Thank You for giving us the Bible. Help me listen to Your Word and learn from it. Amen.
