God’s Word Is Sweet (Rooted Honey)
Yesterday, we learned a foundational truth: God made us on purpose. Today, we’re learning something just as important, God’s Word is good for us, and it is sweet, like honey. God didn’t just make us and walk away. He gave us His Word to guide us, teach us, and remind us how much He loves us.
“How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” Psalm 119:103
God’s Word is compared to honey because it is good, nourishing, and joyful.
Today’s Truth:
God’s Word nourishes my life.
Psalm 119:103 describes God’s Word as sweet like honey.
That doesn’t mean it’s always easy, but it means it’s good.
Truth nourishes us even when it challenges us.
God’s Word:
• Grounds us
• Corrects us
• Comforts us
• Reminds us who we are
In a world full of noise, Scripture is steady.
Reflect:
• Where do you usually go for guidance first, God’s Word or other voices?
• What might change if Scripture had the first word instead?
Prayer:
Dear God, Help me desire Your Word more than distractions. Teach me to trust Your truth, even when it challenges me. Amen.
