Week 6 | Day 2 – God’s Love Shapes Us (Rooted Honey)

The Bible tells us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

That means God loved us before we got everything right.

God didn’t wait for us to be perfect.

He didn’t wait for us to clean ourselves up.

He loved us first.

“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”  Romans 5:8

How does knowing God loves you change how you see yourself?

Today’s Truth:

God’s love forms our identity.

Many voices try to tell us who we are, grades, friends, mistakes, or success.

But God’s Word reminds us that our identity begins with His love.

God loved us before we changed.

That truth gives us confidence and humility.

Prayer:

Dear God, Thank You for loving me completely.  Help me build my identity on Your love instead of others’ opinions.  Amen.

Reflection Prompt:
What is one lie about yourself that God’s love helps correct?

Optional Supplies or Resources: Bible, Journal

Looking Ahead:

Tomorrow, we’ll look at how our words can either build others up or tear them down, and why loving others starts with how we speak.
