God’s Word Is Sweet (Little Honey)

Yesterday, we learned a foundational truth: God made us on purpose.  Today, we’re learning something just as important, God’s Word is good for us, and it is sweet, like honey. God didn’t just make us and walk away. He gave us His Word to guide us, teach us, and remind us how much He loves us.

“How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” Psalm 119:103

God’s Word is compared to honey because it is good, nourishing, and joyful.

Today’s Truth:

God’s Word is sweet like honey. 

Honey tastes good.

It makes us smile.

It helps our bodies.

God’s Word is like that too.

When we hear Bible stories, God is teaching us.

When we hear His Word, God is loving us.

Prayer:

Dear God,  Thank You for Your Word.  Thank You for Bible stories.  Help me love Your Word.  Amen.

Simple Activity: Pretend to taste something sweet and say: “God’s Word is sweet like honey!”
