Week 3 | Day 6 – Reflecting on Prayer (Little Honey)

All week long, we have been learning about prayer, what it is and why it matters.

We’ve learned that:

• Prayer is talking to God

• God listens when we pray

• We can pray anytime

• Prayer includes gratitude

• Prayer includes asking God for help

Today is a day to slow down.

Instead of learning something new, we are taking time to reflect on how God has been teaching us about prayer and how prayer connects us to Him.

“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” Psalm 145:18

This verse reminds us that prayer brings us close to God.

When we pray, we are never alone, God is near.

Today’s Truth

God likes when I talk to Him.

God likes hearing your voice.

God likes when you pray.

God listens because He loves you.

Today, we remember that prayer is a happy and safe time with God.

Prayer:

Dear God,  Thank You for listening to me.  Thank You for being close to me.  I love talking to You.  Amen.

Activity:

Draw a picture of yourself talking to God (praying).

Talk about how it feels to know God listens.

Looking Ahead

Tomorrow, we will wrap up the week by remembering that talking to God is a gift and celebrating the relationship we have with our Heavenly Father.
