God is my Loving Father (Rooted Honey)

Last week, we learned an important truth:

God made us on purpose.

This week, we are building on that truth and learning something even deeper:

God is our Father.

God didn’t just create us and leave us on our own.

He loves us.

He cares for us.

He invites us into a relationship with Him.

All week long, we will learn what it means to belong to God as His children.

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.”

1 John 3:1

This verse reminds us that being called God’s child is a gift of love.

God chooses us.

God welcomes us.

God calls us His own.

Today’s Truth:

My identity begins with being God’s child.

Being called a child of God shapes how we understand ourselves and the world around us.

God’s love is not earned, it is given.

As our Father, God:

• Chooses us

• Welcomes us

• Commits Himself to us

This truth brings security and confidence.

We don’t have to search for our worth, it is found in belonging to God.

When we know God as Father, we can approach Him with trust and honesty.

Reflect:

• What does it mean to you personally to be called a child of God?

How does this truth affect how you see yourself?

Prayer:

Dear God, Thank You for loving me and calling me Your child. Help me live each day remembering who I belong to. Amen.
