Week 3 | Day 6 – Reflecting on Prayer (Rooted Honey)

All week long, we have been learning about prayer, what it is and why it matters.

We’ve learned that:

• Prayer is talking to God

• God listens when we pray

• We can pray anytime

• Prayer includes gratitude

• Prayer includes asking God for help

Today is a day to slow down.

Instead of learning something new, we are taking time to reflect on how God has been teaching us about prayer and how prayer connects us to Him.

“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.”

Psalm 145:18

This verse reminds us that prayer brings us close to God.

When we pray, we are never alone, God is near.

Today’s Truth

Reflection helps prayer take root.

When we reflect, we notice how God has been shaping our understanding and drawing us closer to Him.

Prayer is not only about asking, it is about relationship, trust, and awareness of God’s presence.

Today is an opportunity to pause and recognize what God has been teaching you about prayer.

Prayer:

Dear God, Thank You for inviting me into conversation with You.  Help me carry what I’ve learned about prayer into my everyday life.  Amen.

Reflection Prompt:

• Which part of prayer stood out to you most this week?

• How has your view of prayer changed or deepened?

Looking Ahead:

Tomorrow, we will wrap up the week by remembering that talking to God is a gift and celebrating the relationship we have with our Heavenly Father.
