Week 3 | Day 1 – What is Prayer? (Growing Honey)

Welcome to Week Three.

Last week, we learned that God is our Father, that He loves us, cares for us, provides for us, guides us, and stays with us.

This week, we are learning something very special:

Because God is our Father, we can talk to Him.

That is what prayer is.

Prayer is not complicated or scary.

Prayer is simply talking to God and listening to Him.

God wants to hear from His children.

“The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.”

Psalm 145:18

This verse reminds us that when we talk to God, He is close and listening.

Today’s Truth

Prayer connects us to God.

Prayer is how we build a relationship with God.

When we pray, we are sharing our thoughts, feelings, and needs with Him.

Prayer is not about saying the “right” words.

It is about being honest with God.

God listens because He loves His children.

Prayer:

Dear God, Thank You for being near to me.  Help me talk to You honestly and often.  Amen.

Activity:

Write or draw one thing you could talk to God about today.
