I Can Follow God’s Word (Rooted Honey)

Welcome to Day Five

This week, we’ve learned:

• Day 1: God made me on purpose

• Day 2: God’s Word is sweet

• Day 3: God’s Word is true

• Day 4: God speaks through His Word

Today, we’re learning how to respond: We can follow God’s Word in our everyday lives. 

God doesn’t give us His Word just to read, it helps us know how to live.

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”  James 1:22 

Today’s Truth:  Faith grows when I live out God’s Word. 

James reminds us that listening without action isn’t enough.

God’s Word is meant to shape how we live, not just what we know.

Living out Scripture looks like:

• Choosing integrity when no one is watching

• Responding with grace instead of anger

• Letting truth guide decisions

Obedience isn’t about perfection, it’s about direction.

Reflect:

• What is one truth from this week God is asking you to apply?

• What might obedience look like in a small, real way today?

Prayer:

Dear God, Help me live out what You are teaching me.  Give me courage to follow Your Word in real life.  Amen.
