Week 2 | Day 1 – God is my Loving Father (Growing Honey)

Last week, we learned an important truth:

God made us on purpose.

This week, we are building on that truth and learning something even deeper:

God is our Father.

God didn’t just create us and leave us on our own.

He loves us.

He cares for us.

He invites us into a relationship with Him.

All week long, we will learn what it means to belong to God as His children.

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.”

1 John 3:1

This verse reminds us that being called God’s child is a gift of love.

God chooses us.

God welcomes us.

God calls us His own.

Today’s Truth:

I belong to God.

God’s Word tells us that we are called children of God.

That means we are part of God’s family.

God’s love does not depend on how well we behave or how much we know.

He loves us because we belong to Him.

When we understand God as our Father, it helps us:

• Feel safe

• Trust Him

• Know we are never alone

God’s love is generous and steady.

It does not run out.

Prayer:

Dear God, Thank You for calling me Your child.  Help me trust Your love and follow You. Amen.

Activity:

Write or draw one way God shows His love to His children.
